How Much PF Will I Get at Retirement?

Understand EPF calculation and estimate your retirement corpus with employee + employer contributions and compound interest.

How EPF Works

Every month, you contribute 12% of your basic salary to EPF. Your employer contributes 3.67% (to EPF) + 8.33% (to EPS pension). The EPF portion earns compound interest (currently 8.25%/year) tax-free until withdrawal.

EPF Contribution Breakdown

Example: ₹25,000 Basic Salary, 30 Years

Monthly EPF = ₹25,000 × 15.67% = ₹3,918
With 8.25% interest and 5% annual salary hikes over 30 years:
Total employee contribution: ~₹35 lakhs
Total employer contribution: ~₹11 lakhs
Interest earned: ~₹65 lakhs
Total at retirement: ~₹1.1 crore (tax-free!)
